Stratford Waterfront is one of five new neighbourhoods on the Park. It will deliver 700 new homes and new places to eat, drink and socialise alongside the UK’s most vibrant and creative cultural quarter; East Bank.
Stratford Waterfront is a 2.4 acres site adjacent to East Bank on a peninsula between the railway and Waterfront River. The site formS part of a wider masterplan with East Bank. London's East Bank provides cultural and educational uses for the BBC, V&A, Sadler's Wells and London College of Fashion, University of London. When complete there will be continuous public realm along the Waterworks River. The will connect to the wider Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.
Historically, the site was a prime location for industry given its frontages onto the river and onto Carpenters Road. During the Olympics the site hosted the water polo arena and most recently has been used as the construction compound for the East Bank development.
