Waterden Road & Copper Street Improvements

The transformation of the area near the Copper Box into the new neighbourhood of East Wick is underway; with East Wick Phase 1 complete, Phase 2 under construction and Phase 3 starting soon, many people will be living here where before there were none. In preparation for this transformation, the road design is being upgraded to respond to the development layouts. Gaps in walking and cycling public realm design will be completed, to make it safer and more accessible to all types of pedestrians and cyclist to use. The work includes creating new parallel crossings adding dropped kerbs, tactile paving and white line marking. Landscaped areas and timber bollards will be installed to restrict pavement parking.
