Lighting Strategy Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

London Legacy Development Corporation have appointed Tapestry and Light Follows Behaviour to prepare an updated lighting strategy for the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park (QEOP). Where and how the park is illuminated is not only important for the safety and wellbeing of park users, but also wildlife. The strategy will assess the performance of existing lighting, considering:

• Do you feel comfortable walking after dark? In which areas do you feel comfortable or uncomfortable?
• Can you navigate easily through the park, and what are your preferred routes?
• Do you cycle through the park? If so, where do you typically start and where do you go?
• Do you think the lighting is adequate for your activities after dark?
• Are you aware that some parts of the park are intentionally unlit to create a safe habitat for wildlife?
• Are landscape changes needed to better compliment the lighting?
• What, in your opinion, makes the park unique?
